Spinal surgery represents the largest part of small animal neurosurgery. Herniated discs are the most common pathology to be treated. Good treatment of a herniated disc requires a very careful clinical and diagnostic work-up in order to subsequently select the right therapy. Whether a cervical or thoracolumbar intervertebral disc disease is present, a case-specific treatment plan must be established for each patient.
This seminar will help you to make the right decision (conservative, surgical, and which technique to use) in treatment, and will also provide you with the necessary practical tips and tricks to perform a successful ventral slot or hemilaminectomy - fenestration yourself.
The knowledge transfer is done in a very practical way (video-based, wetlab, short interactive lectures)
