What is a satellite event?
The MEAVC 2023 Satellite events consist of Educational Road Shows that provide vets the opportunity to be trained by renowned specialists, discuss with them topics, increase their knowledge and experience, without having to travel out of their country!
Meeting unique instructors, getting tips regarding various fields and applications, improving your diagnostic steps, processes and techniques are our main focus for 2023.
MEAVC 2023 is set to be a high profile, leading international veterinary educational event, across the MENA region. The Satellite events for 2023 are designed to take place in 4 different countries: UAE, KSA, Egypt and Morocco from March to June 2023, with 2 disciplines: Cardiology and Anesthesiology.
The Satellite events are wet labs with a theoretical and practical part, highly interactive and engaging. The duration will be from 9.30am to 18.30 pm each day. Attendance of the theoretical part can host up to 150 participants, attendance to the theoretical part will be restricted to 20 participants.
MEAVC members have a priority in the booking process and a 20% reduction in the wet lab’s fee.

- Basic peri-anaesthetic monitoring in small animals: function and interpretation
Practical workshop in Live Animals – Limited to 20 attendees
- Rebreathing and non-rebreathing anaesthetic circuits: pre-operative check, pitfalls, and how to use them
- Oximetry and capnography: connection to animals, perioperative use, interpretation

Topic: PRINCIPLES OF ECHOCARDIOGRAPHY IN SMALL ANIMALS
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Theoretical part – Limited to 150 attendees
- Clinical cases: mitral valve disease
- Clinical cases: dilated cardiomyopathy
- Clinical cases: feline cardiomyopathies
- The main echocardiographic projections
Practical workshop in Live Animals – Limited to 20 attendees
- Basics of echocardiography and how the images are generated and interpreted
- Perform a basic echocardiogram on a normal dog
- Use echocardiography to diagnose common heart diseases in small animal practice

- Certificates of attendance and CE accreditation will only be provided to the registrants who participate in both theoretical and practical part of the event.
- Registration to the Theoretical part includes admission to the scientific lectures and to the Open Discussion of cases (09.30 am-13.00 pm), One morning Coffee Break, Proceedings of the Workshop. • The official language of the Satellite events in the UAE, KSA and Egypt is English. The official language of the event in Morocco is French.

VetCEE ACCREDITATION
MEAVC 2023 Satellite Events has been accredited by VetCEE as a level 7 post-graduate training course. It has undergone evaluation of its content and quality assurance systems.
The European Association of Establishments for Veterinary Education VetCEE (Veterinary Continuing Education Europe) provides accreditation of national and international programmes for Continuing Veterinary Education (CVE) in Europe and to facilitate the recognition of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) between the various countries in Europe.
Level 7 credits is the highest level of accreditation for Veterinary surgeons who attend post graduate courses or congresses.

0.6 ECTS credit for delegates who attend the full Satellite Event.

MEAVC 2023 Satellite Events is RACE-approved meaning that our continuing education programs meet appropriate standards of quality. You are assured that participating in a RACE-approved course will help you meet your license and credential continuing education requirements.
The American Association of Veterinary State Boards (AAVSB) Registry of Approved Continuing Education (RACE) program develops and applies uniform standards for veterinary medicine continuing education.
