Dimitra Bitchava

Graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Greece. In 1998 received my Master in Veterinary Science (MSc) degree in Public Health from the National School of Public Health of Athens, Greece.

I work in Veterinary Laboratories since 1996 and I am the owner of Veterinary Laboratories Vet In Progress plus in Athens since 2004. The Lab was founded with the vision to bring equal access to high quality veterinary laboratory services for everyone. We also believe in the continuous improvement according to international standards ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and ISO 9001:2015. We participate in national and international research projects on the field of Microbiology, Parasitology, Molecular Biology, Endocrinology, Biochemistry and Parasitic Diseases.

Currently the way veterinarians diagnose and treat diseases is changing, thanks to a deeper understanding of the genome and its relationship to health. So, in the previous year I participated in the following courses: Cancer Genomics and Precision Oncology, Genetic Testing and Sequencing Technologies, Genetics - Essentials, Immuno-oncology, Novel Therapies for Chronic Inflammation, Autoimmunity, and Allergy, organized by Harvard Medical School.
