Elias Nikolakopoulos

DVM, PhD, Dip.ECAR Honorary Consul of Greece in the Sultanate of Oman

Dr. Elias Nikolakopoulos is originally from Athens, Greece. He received his veterinary degree from the Thracian University, in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria, in 1994, before completing his Ph.D. in equine reproduction in the University of Edinburgh, UK in 1999.

He has been working in the University of Edinburgh as a demonstrator, before returning to Greece in 2001. The same year he became a founding member of the European College of Animal Reproduction. In Greece he worked as a veterinary consultant for a few years before participating in the veterinary team in the Athens Olympics in 2004.

In 2005 he joined the veterinary team of the Royal Court Affairs of Oman and worked there for the Royal Cavalry of Oman for over 15 years. He has taught in the Veterinary University of Thessaly in Greece and in Sultan Qaboos University in Muscat, Oman. He is now a consultant in the Sultanate of Oman.
