Dr. Margherita Gracis

Dr. Margherita Gracis is a Board-Certified Veterinary Dentist™ and EBVS® European Veterinary Specialist in Dentistry, a leading expert in Veterinary Dentistry, Oral Medicine, and Surgery, with over 25 years of experience in the field. She earned her veterinary degree from the University of Milan in 1993 and later pursued a residency in veterinary dentistry at the University of Pennsylvania's School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Gracis served as a lecturer there until 2000 before relocating to Northern Italy, where she has practiced since then.

Dr. Gracis is diplomate-certified by both the American Veterinary Dental College (AVDC) and the European Veterinary Dental College (EVDC), underscoring her expertise and commitment to the highest standards of veterinary dental care. Her primary clinical work is based at AniCura’s Clinica Veterinaria San Siro in Milan (Italy), where she offers specialized consultations and advanced surgical treatments in veterinary dentistry, oral pathology, and maxillofacial surgery.

Throughout her distinguished career, Dr. Gracis has contributed significantly to the field through leadership roles, including past president of the European Veterinary Dental Society (EVDS) and the Italian Veterinary Dental Society (SIODOV). She is also an active associate editor for Frontiers in Veterinary Science, Veterinary Dentistry and Oromaxillofacial Surgery and serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Veterinary Dentistry.

A prolific author and sought-after speaker, Dr. Gracis co-edited the latest edition of the BSAVA Manual of Canine and Feline Dentistry and Oral Surgery, a critical resource for veterinary professionals. Her commitment to advancing veterinary dentistry continues to have a profound impact, improving the oral health and well-being of companion animals worldwide.
