Miss Eleanor Haskey

RVN BSc(hons) PGCert VTS(ECC) VPAC A1 Emergency & Critical Care

Eleanor Haskey graduated in 2008 from the University of Bristol with an honors degree in Veterinary Nursing and Practice Administration. She began her career in a mixed practice in the Midlands, where she worked for two years before returning to the University of Bristol as Senior ICU Nurse. During her four years in this role, Eleanor earned her VTS (ECC) qualification in 2012, specializing in emergency and critical care.

In 2013, Eleanor joined the Royal Veterinary College’s ECC team as a Senior ECC Nurse and was later promoted to Head ECC Nurse. Over the next four years, she honed her leadership skills while continuing to focus on her passion for emergency and critical care nursing.

Eleanor’s dedication to professional development led her to complete a Postgraduate Certificate in Veterinary Education in 2019. This qualification highlights her commitment to fostering growth and learning within the veterinary profession. In 2020, Eleanor chose to step down as Head Nurse to concentrate on her clinical role as a Registered Veterinary Nurse, prioritizing patient care and hands-on support. In 2023 Elle joined the anesthesia team to advance her knowledge and skill set in this area of the hospital whilst working alongside and mentoring the students on clinical rotation.

With a wealth of experience in clinical practice, leadership, and education, Eleanor remains committed to advancing veterinary nursing standards and providing exceptional care to patients while mentoring the next generation of veterinary professionals.
