VTS (Anaesthsia/Analgesia) PgCert Vet Ed RVN FHEA Head Anaesthesia Nurse

Lisa Angell joined the Royal Veterinary College’s Queen Mother Hospital for Animals in February 2010 as a dedicated anaesthesia nurse. Prior to this, she spent seven years gaining valuable experience in a busy primary care practice. In 2013, Lisa was promoted to Head Anaesthesia Nurse, where she now leads a team of anaesthesia nurses and theatre and diagnostic assistants.

In 2012, Lisa became a board-certified Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) in Anaesthesia and Analgesia. Furthering her commitment to education and professional growth, Lisa graduated from the royal veterinary college with a Postgraduate Certificate in Veterinary Education in 2020.

Lisa is an accomplished lecturer, having presented on a variety of anaesthesia topics at both national and international level. She has a particular passion for pain management and is dedicated to advancing nursing practices by encouraging and inspiring veterinary nurses to perform local anaesthetic techniques.

Through her leadership, expertise, and dedication to education, Lisa continues to make significant contributions to the field of veterinary anaesthesia and analgesia, elevating standards of care and inspiring the next generation of veterinary professionals.
