Dr. Jorge L. Colón, DVM, MBA is an Associate Professor of Practice in Financial and Organizational Management at Cornell University's College of Veterinary Medicine and serves as the Director of Veterinary Business Education at the Center for Veterinary Business and Entrepreneurship (CVBE).

Dr. Colón earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Cornell University in 1992, followed by his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from Cornell’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 1995. In 2015, he obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a Finance Certificate from Colorado State University.

After years in veterinary practice and business management, Dr. Colón transitioned to academia in 2020, joining Cornell as an Associate Professor of Practice. He develops and implements veterinary business education programs within the DVM curriculum and oversees the Certificate in Veterinary Business and Management program at the CVBE.

An advocate for financial literacy in veterinary medicine, Dr. Colón authored "Essential Business Concepts for Veterinary Professionals," a resource aimed at enhancing business acumen among veterinarians. He has also published articles on topics such as ambulatory vehicle ownership and practice management.
