TARGET AUDIENCE
Veterinarians who want to improve their anesthesia and analgesia skills
Veterinarians that perform dentistry, abdominal soft tissue and limb surgeries.
DESCRIPTION
In the lecture part, the pharmacological and anatomical backgrounds are taught, as well as the advantages of locoregional anesthesia and precautions to be taken.
In the practical part, with the direct help of an instructor, every participant will perform the techniques learned and have the possibility for immediate feedback of the correctness of the block performed.
OBJECTIVES
Participants will attain information about the advantages and safety precautions of locoregional anesthesia, the possible drugs and doses employed and the onsets and durations of such blocks. Loco-regional anesthesia techniques will allow to provide a safer anesthesia and a better, reliable analgesia.

In this course, the participants will learn easy-to perform- techniques to employ right away in their every-day practice. They will be taught techniques for dentistry procedures, abdominal soft-tissue surgery and techniques for limb operations. Every participant will be guided to master such blocks and have immediate feedback on the correctness of block placement.
