OBJECTIVES

Understand echocardiographic anatomy of the right-sided views
Know the indications for performing an echocardiogram, and integrate this into your clinical decision making
Find an appropriate starting position for obtaining the right parasternal echo views
Achieve right-sided, long- and short-axis views of the canine heart
Be able to identify left atrial dilation in the canine heart, and understand the importance of a repeatable LA:Ao measurement
